Between March and today as we are all working remotely to be safe, CAEC expanded its connections with members, establishing weekly zoom calls and creating a relevant series of new programs for the season. Building an even greater sense of community and connectedness. All online: Arts leadership, Trauma-informed work, Social justice, CMSD, Funding and more.
We know that all members’ organizations, large and small, have experienced severe programming and staffing changes and cuts, so there is a lot to talk about. Through the CAEC zoom calls, we have seen rapid, creative pivots from vital in-person arts education programs to imaginative remote learning. These conversations highlight the real meaning of membership with CAEC and is our core purpose.
One of our members recently wrote: “Whether it’s a professional development session featuring national guest speakers or a jam session with friends over morning coffee, CAEC unites the arts education leaders in our community. CAEC breaks down silos, enriches its members and more importantly enriches the lives of the constituents those member organizations serve. From providing research and support to professional development and networking opportunities, CAEC is one of our community’s gems.”
Throughout the pandemic, new members joined our network to connect with others. CAEC’s normal leadership and regular annual dues for the season, are “pay what you can”. Some are able to, others not at all. We understand. So, if you can donate something to help us going forward that would be wonderful.
