Supporting Families at Home: How Providence House Continued to Provide for our Families During COVID-19

While the Providence House children’s shelter services were temporarily closed due to COVID-19, our Social Work team continued to support our families through weekly home deliveries of meals and basic needs items. The children in one four-person family we serve made signs that thanked Providence House for all the hard work we were doing to keep families safe and at home. The mother of these children shared that, throughout the last ten years that she has known and used Providence House as her safety net, “you are always here when we need you.” Another mom, whose son we have been serving in our Pediatric Crisis Nursery for respite since this nursery opened, said “of course YOU are the ones doing this, Providence House always finds a way”.
